El yaoi (やおい en japonés), abreviatura para yama-nashi ochinashi imi-nashi (que significa "sin clímax, sin resolución, sin sentido"), es un género de manga y anime muy popular en Japón y otros países del mundo. La característica principal de un manga o serie yaoi es el amor entre personajes masculinos. El género suele estar englobado dentro del shōjo o manga orientado a chicas, por estar enfocado principalmente a un público femenino.

La mayor parte de las obras yaoi en el mundo son doujinshis, aunque el número de publicaciones profesionales en Japón es muy alto.
